Santara AI vs Beds24

Beds24 is cheaper than Santara AI at every size and connects more channels, and we would rather say that first. It is a toolkit you configure yourself; Santara AI is the one that arrives already running your morning — the brief, the cleaning plans, the drafted replies.

Choose Santara AI if…

  • You want to be live in a day without learning room types, channel links and rate rules first.
  • Your day is coordinating people — cleaners, a villa manager, a driver — and you want their jobs written and shared to WhatsApp or Zalo in one tap.
  • You want AI-drafted guest replies built into the product, with a human pressing Send, rather than a third-party app connected to it.
  • You want maintenance tickets, a 6am Daily Brief and owner statements in the same system as the calendar.
  • You would rather somebody else did the migration, free, than book paid onboarding sessions.

Choose Beds24 if…

  • Price decides it. At every portfolio size in the table above, Beds24 costs less — at forty doors, roughly a quarter of ours.
  • You sell on Vrbo. It is on Beds24's channel list; Santara AI does not connect it.
  • You run a guesthouse, hostel or small hotel with room types, dorm beds and complex rate plans. Beds24 is built for that depth.
  • You take a lot of direct bookings. Their booking engine is commission-free; ours takes 3% on direct-site bookings.
  • You enjoy configuring software and want a system that bends to almost any setup, with a large integration marketplace behind it.

The money questions

The money questions — Santara AI / Beds24
CapabilitySantara AIBeds24
No commission on channel bookingsAirbnb, Booking.com and every channel you sell on Why?

Beds24 takes no commission on bookings, anywhere. Santara AI takes 0% on channel bookings and upsells and 3% on direct bookings through its own booking site — so on direct bookings, Beds24 is the cheaper of the two.

YesYes
No per-reservation or booking feeA flat fee taken out of every stay Why?

No booking fee on either side for channel bookings. Their pricing is usage-based instead: a base account, a fee per room, and €0.55 per month for every room type connected to every channel.

PartialYes
No commission on guest upsellsLate checkout, transfers, breakfastYesYes
No onboarding or setup feeNothing to pay, for anyone Why?

No setup fee on either side. Beds24's free path is self-onboarding — tools, webinars and a forum — with personal onboarding and training sold from €79. Ours includes a migration we run for you.

YesYes
No annual contract or lock-inLeave any month and take your dataYesYes
Published price at every tierNo “contact sales” to find out what you pay Why?

Both published. Theirs is a calculator on the pricing page — €12.90 base, €2.60 per room, €0.55 per channel link — and it is cheaper than ours at every size in the table above. The table converts their euros to dollars at the ECB rate; the formula is theirs, the conversion is ours.

YesYes
Dynamic pricing without a per-property surchargeSeasonal and day-of-week rate plans included; ours stands down if you run PriceLabs Why?

Both include it. Beds24's yield management adjusts prices by availability and time before check-in, at no extra cost; ours is first-party rate rules, also included. Neither charges per property for it.

Proactive daily operations briefEvery arrival, departure, clean, upsell and problem — emailed to you before you ask Why?

Beds24 has reports, notifications on new bookings and a calendar you can configure in great detail. Nothing on their pages arrives before you ask — arrivals, departures, cleans, open tickets and decisions, ordered, at 6am.

YesNo
One-tap WhatsApp and Zalo staff plansEach cleaner's day, pre-written and shared to the app they already use in one tap, no new login Why?

Beds24 can send automated messages to staff and has a WhatsApp integration in its inbox. What it does not describe is writing each cleaner's day and handing it to WhatsApp or Zalo in one tap, which is the point of ours.

YesPartial
Built for on-site teams, not solo desk hostsDesigned around housekeepers, drivers and villa managers Why?

There is a housekeeping module and extra logins with access control at €2.00 per user per month. A field team that never logs in — the housekeeper who only reads WhatsApp — is where ours is built to reach.

YesPartial
Maintenance tickets with photo evidenceRaised, assigned, chased and closed per property Why?

No native maintenance tickets on Beds24's pages. Their marketplace has a category of third-party operations and cleaning apps; ours has tickets with photos in the product.

YesNo
AI guest messaging with human approvalDrafted in your voice; nothing sends until you say so Why?

Beds24's messaging is strong on templates and triggers, natively. AI-drafted replies come from marketplace partners such as Besty AI, a separate product with its own account. Ours drafts each reply in the product, in the guest's language, and waits for you on Airbnb, Booking.com and Expedia.

YesNo
Owner-ready statementsReports your villa owners can actually read Why?

Beds24 has invoices, reports and owner access through extra user logins; automated owner statements are offered through a marketplace partner (BedPlus). Ours produces the month statement — gross minus fees minus expenses, with a CSV export — in the product.

YesPartial
White-label for management companiesYour brand in front of your owners Why?

Beds24 sells a private-label subdomain for the booking page at €19.00 a month. We have no white-label option at all, so this one is theirs.

NoPartial
Multi-currency and SE Asia operating realityLocal staff workflows, and prices and statements in IDR and VND Why?

Both connect the South-East Asian channels — Agoda, Traveloka, Tiket.com and Trip.com are on Beds24's list and in our 54-channel catalogue. What we could not confirm on their pages is dong or rupiah handling, or a back office in Vietnamese or Indonesian — both of which ours has.

YesPartial
Direct booking siteSeven templates built from listings you already imported, selling from the same synced calendar. Direct bookings carry a 3% commission. Why?

Both ship a booking engine and a booking website. Theirs is commission-free, deeply customisable and comes with widgets and a WordPress plugin; ours takes 3% on direct-site bookings.

Commission on channel bookingsOn $20,000 of bookings a monthNoneNone
  • Software subscription only. Channel commission, payment processing and any optional add-ons are excluded on both sides. Our 3% commission applies only to direct bookings through our booking site and is not worked out here.

  • Competitor figures are the vendor's published rates at that portfolio size. Where a vendor does not publish one, the cell says Quote only rather than an estimate.

  • Our figures come from the published ladder on the pricing page. Prices shown in USD; readers in a local price book see their own currency there.

The price comparison we lose, worked out

Beds24 publishes a calculator, and its numbers are simple: €12.90 for the account, €2.60 per room, and €0.55 a month for each room type connected to each channel. For a portfolio where every villa is its own listing on three channels, that is about €17 a month for one door, €38 for six, €77 for fifteen and €183 for forty.

Ours, from the pricing page, is $29, $154, $344 and $794 at the same sizes. There is no reading of those numbers in which we are the cheaper product, and we are not going to build one. If the monthly bill is the decision, Beds24 wins it.

What the money buys on our side is the part that is not configuration: the brief before you open anything, each cleaner's day written and shared where they already are, replies drafted for you to approve, and a migration somebody else does.

Self-service is a feature, and it has a cost

Beds24 describes itself as designed as a self-service system, and it means it. It handles hotels, hostels, dorm beds, multi-unit room types, packages, promo codes, occupancy pricing and rate rules most vacation-rental tools do not attempt. People who learn it tend to stay, because almost anything can be made to work.

The cost is the learning. Room types, channel links, rate structures and message triggers are yours to set up, with webinars, a wiki and a forum to help, or personal onboarding from €79. If you have the time and like that kind of control, it is a good deal.

Santara AI makes the opposite bet: fewer switches, more done by default. We import your listings, rates and bookings, connect your channels and you start from a working morning rather than an empty settings page.

Where the AI lives

On Beds24, guest messaging is templates and triggers — and very good ones, with hundreds of placeholders and conditions. AI-written replies are available through marketplace partners, each its own subscription with its own login.

On Santara AI the draft is part of the inbox. It reads the thread, the booking and the listing, writes in the guest's language, and nothing goes out until a person presses Send. That works on Airbnb, Booking.com and Expedia today; other channels' messages arrive readable but are answered on the channel.

Where Beds24 is stronger

Every comparison page on this site carries this section. If one of these decides it for you, buy theirs.

  • Price. Cheaper than Santara AI at every portfolio size in our table — roughly a quarter of our bill at forty doors.
  • Channels. 60+ named OTA and metasearch connections against our 54, including Vrbo, which we do not connect.
  • Direct bookings. Their booking engine is commission-free; ours takes 3% on direct-site bookings.
  • Configurability. Room types, dorms, packages, occupancy pricing and rate rules deep enough for hotels and hostels, plus a large integration marketplace.
  • White-label. A private-label subdomain for the booking page at €19 a month, where we offer none.

Switching from Beds24

  • Free migration, run by us: properties, rooms, rates, availability, reservations and guest history.
  • Complex Beds24 setups — many room types, packages, dorm beds — take longer to map, and we will tell you how long before we start.
  • Your channels are reconnected here and nothing is switched off on the Beds24 side until you have checked the calendars match. Their prepaid credit means there is no contract to end.
  • Agoda, Traveloka, Tiket.com and Trip.com reconnect here like the rest of the catalogue. If you sell on Vrbo, keep it running where it is — we do not connect it, and will not pretend otherwise.
  • Month to month here too, no exit fee, full data export.

Questions people actually ask

Is Beds24 cheaper than Santara AI?

Yes, at every size we priced. Using their own calculator with three channels per listing, Beds24 is about €17 a month for one door, €38 for six, €77 for fifteen and €183 for forty. Ours is $29, $154, $344 and $794. The reason to pay more is the operations layer and the AI drafts, not the price.

How does Beds24 pricing work?

It is usage-based, paid from prepaid credit with no contract: €12.90 for the base account, €2.60 per room, and €0.55 a month for each room type connected to each channel. Extra user logins are €2.00 a month, SMS €0.10 each, a private-label subdomain €19.00 a month, and personal onboarding from €79. Prices are in euros.

Is Beds24 hard to set up?

It is built to be set up by you — Beds24 calls itself a self-service system, and it is deep: room types, channel links, rate rules and message triggers are all yours to configure. Many people find that worth it. If you would rather start from a working system, we do the migration and setup for you, free.

Does Beds24 have AI guest replies?

Not natively on the pages we checked. Its messaging runs on templates and triggers, and AI-written replies come from marketplace partners such as Besty AI, which is a separate subscription. Santara AI drafts replies inside the product on Airbnb, Booking.com and Expedia, and a person approves each one.

Is Beds24 good for villas in Bali or apartments in Vietnam?

For distribution, yes — it connects Agoda, Traveloka, Tiket.com and Trip.com. What it does not do is coordinate a local team: no daily brief, no cleaning plan shared to WhatsApp or Zalo, no maintenance tickets. That is the half Santara AI is built for, and it connects Agoda, Traveloka, Tiket.com and Trip.com too.

Does Beds24 take a commission?

No, not on any booking. Santara AI takes 0% on channel bookings and upsells, and 3% only on bookings through our own direct booking site — so on direct bookings, Beds24 is cheaper.
